Definitely Fall/Nature Notes

 Last of this year's sunflowers

Now that the Northern Hemisphere has passed the autumnal equinox, we're definitely into fall.

 Roadside stand

And merchants are encouraging us to decorate for the season.

 Arranged on rocks

Squash and pumpkins come in many different shapes, colours and sizes.

 Tons of pumpkins

There are still plenty of pumpkins to choose from.  Many of the smaller ones will be cooked to make pies and whatever for Canadian Thanksgiving, October 14th.

Please visit Michelle at Rambling Woods for more NATURE NOTES.

The sunflower is lovely. It looks so cheerful.
I love pumpkins, too, but it seems early to start decorating with them.

I love seeing these kind of displays for fall. I should get a pumpkin or two this week but may wait so it will last until Nov. 1st.

I like decorating the outdoors with pumpkins. I have purchased two so far. Well one is really a squash but it looks like a pumpkin.

Pumpkins are just starting to appear around here. We have three that grew in our own garden.

I always love the variations in pumpkins, however we don't have many varieties here. And we only see very few during Halloween!
